We are looking for someone who

We are all active in our work: one in the hospitality industry, another in the City of Kortrijk, one in a warehouse, and one in training. We are quiet people; usually, we don't see each other much and retreat to our rooms. We have created a WhatsApp group through which we mostly communicate. We occasionally meet in the kitchen or in the hallways and have a chat. Sometimes someone bakes a cake and we are invited to taste it, or we light a cigarette on the terrace. Smoking is not allowed inside.

Something more about your co-residents

first resident: works in the hospitality industry and often has to work until the middle of the night. You see this person the least because when he is there, it is to sleep. second resident: works in the City of Kortrijk with very irregular hours. In his free time, he often goes out with his girlfriend. third resident: quiet person who spends a lot of time with his son (six), who comes to stay for a weekend every two weeks. fourth resident: young person who is currently taking a course at the VDAB, music lover. So we really don't see each other much because one of us goes to work at a specific time and the other only comes home after work at a specific time. If we do run into each other in the hallways or the kitchen, we can have a nice chat. The habits we teach ourselves: clearing the washing machine after a wash so someone else can use it, tidying up the kitchen after use, filling and emptying the dishwasher, cleaning the air fryer after use, sorting and putting away the trash, leaving the bathroom neat for the person behind us. A rotation system for cleaning the hallways, bathroom, and kitchen, taking out the trash, the glass recycling bin, ... Sometimes the rotation works, sometimes it doesn't. But we do our best.

Actually, there are no joint activities. Sometimes someone has cooked or baked something, and you can sample it by invitation. But actually, we are all a bit on our own.

Additional information about price or contract

The stated price is the rent, including a commission for electricity, natural gas, and water, based on normal consumption. However, it is possible that (especially now with the increased prices) a small additional payment will be required after receiving the final settlement (to be shared by 5 persons). The contract is for 1 year and can be tacitly renewed. You may terminate the contract with three months' notice, subject to a termination fee of 1.5 months due to early termination. The rental deposit is three months' rent and can be provided via a bank guarantee in the tenant's name.
