We are looking for someone who
This co-house is intended for people (no students, no short-term stays) who consciously choose to live together for the long term (standard residential tenancy contract). We want to create a quiet, stable, and pleasant high-quality living environment where respect for privacy, open communication, order and cleanliness, and shared responsibility are central. Together, you form “the residents' group”. We are looking for people who love connection as well as good organization. We dream of an intergenerational and multicultural residents' group; we have so much to learn from each other, with diverse ages mixed together.

Something more about your co-residents
The current group of residents consists of:
Here they briefly introduce themselves.
Geert (Ghent roots) (+60):
I am Geert (60+, but still young at heart). I speak fluent Dutch and French. I am very concerned about the future of our world. What kind of world are we leaving behind for my five children and, perhaps someday, my grandchildren?
I have a passion for language and storytelling. I am still professionally active as a storyteller, copywriter, and ghostwriter. I am a co-founder of Re-story, because a different story can change the world. I also initiated the Recovery Dictionary project and organize Zebra Events together with Pascaline. That is also where the name Zebra House comes from.
I enjoy coming up with quizzes together with younger generations and participating in them. I am a big football fan and a proud supporter of Cercle Brugge. Elisa (Italian roots)(23):
Hi my name is Elisa, I'm a 23 years old girl from Italy, and I'll soon join the co living at the Zebra house in Ghent. About be, I am very passionate about sketching and drawing, and I also like to share this hobby with the people around me. I also like to share music and old films. I use graduated from a postgraduate in service design, and, even if I'm currently working as a barista, I see a future career in the field to create a social impact, which is very close to me.
See you soon roommate 🌸
Maximiliano (Argentinian roots)(26):
Hi I'm Max, a twenty five years old shortly moving at the Zebra project in Ghent, I like to discuss book topics, share thoughts about your past and upcoming travels, sometimes cook together for the whole house, enjoy the summer organizing chill runs across the city, and of course take the time to properly get to know our future housemates. Making sure the ambiance feels representative of us is something I find important, as your house reflects your inner state and how you interact with the rest of your surroundings. I propose small meditation sessions for winding down, perhaps some movie night, and board games and music (it is a nice touch to organize playing music with your peers if possible). I see art as a way of communication that enriches the well-being of not only me but others. I hope you align with these proposals and that we can become really good housemates!
You live together with people of different ages and backgrounds who consciously choose cohousing: everyone has their own room and privacy, but there is also room for meeting up, a spontaneous conversation in the kitchen, eating together, a game night, or simply enjoying the garden.
These things we like to do togther
Living together in Zebra House 🦓
Zebra House is more than just a place to live. It is a warm co-house where independence and connection go hand in hand.
The atmosphere we want to create is open, respectful, and homey. We do not expect everyone to become best friends, but we do expect residents to know and greet each other, be considerate of one another, and contribute to a pleasant living environment.
In Zebra House, there is room for initiative. Do you feel like organizing an activity occasionally, cooking together, or developing an idea? We are happy to encourage that. At the same time, there is plenty of room to withdraw whenever you feel the need.
We are looking for people who are not just looking for a room, but who are also consciously choosing a shared living story in which order, structure, respect, sustainability, responsibility, and human contact take center stage.
Zebra House starts in September; the idea is to eat together once a week from then on. It will be a story of respect for privacy *and* connection.
