Something more about your co-residents
The house will be a fun mix of people from different nationalities and backgrounds, each with their own interests and stories. That makes it super diverse and never boring – there’s always something new to discover or learn from each other. New residents are always selected together with the people already living there.

You're living right on the edge of Ghent's historic center. The old castle of Gravensteen is a 12-minute walk.
Café Labath (8' by foot, 4.4 stars, 1 000+ reviews) is your go-to for good cappuccinos, a simple breakfast, and friendly staff. If you're into specialty coffee or looking for vegan options, WAY Coffee (12' by foot, 4.6 stars, 350+ reviews) on Voldersstraat is worth the walk.
Mémé Gusta (9' by foot, 4.5 stars, 2 000+ reviews) on Burgstraat is our favorite spot for traditional Belgian stoofvlees in Ghent. Book ahead! It fills up fast.
De Redding (3' by foot, 4.7stars, 150+ reviews) and café 't Kanon (15' by foot, 4.2 stars, 1000+ reviews) are real favorites if you want to go for a waterside sunset with your housemates. Especially De Redding is a lowkey spot (keep it a secret!) where mainly young locals go for a drink after work.
Basic-Fit on the Korenmarkt is open 24/7 and the closest budget option. If you prefer better equipment and a friendlier vibe, Jims on Overpoortstraat is a bit further south but well worth it.
The Rabot neighborhood is right around the corner and full of multicultural shops where you can find ingredients from all over the world. For your regular grocery run, both Albert Heijn and Delhaize are 15min walking.
Access
Gent-Sint-Pieters station is about 15 minutes by tram (T4 stops on your doorstep). You really don't need a car here. You're in Ghent, bikes are king here! So make sure to buy or rent one once you arrive.
