We are looking for someone who… enjoys eating together, making a home, helping to maintain the house and make it cozy, listening to Gwen’s piano playing, and wants to experience a cozy movie night; consciously chooses cohousing as a full-fledged way of living together and not as a temporary solution; enjoys participating in and contributing to the living community based on their own strengths (organizing things, taking care of plants, cooking, doing odd jobs, etc.); values community, sustainability, and feminism, among other things; is between 25 and 40 years old; fits in well with the rest of the residents. It is an added value if you… identify as queer, LGBTQ+, or FLINTA+; love cats and want to help care for Nova the house cat; plan to stay for a long time.

Fleur (31, she/her) is Dutch, a cat lover, and has a sweet tooth. She is a jack of all trades and works as a youth worker as well as a film and photographic documentary maker. In addition, she is not afraid to indulge in other creative pursuits and can often be found with a ball of yarn and a crochet hook or in the theater during acting classes. Fleur enjoys a sporty activity from time to time, but also greatly appreciates an evening of lounging on the couch with a cup of tea and a good conversation with her housemates. Her wanderlust manifests itself every now and then, and she finds herself on the other side of the world yet again, but fortunately, she always finds her way back to our lovely hub in Borgerhout. Vincent (28, he/him) is a sporty young man who enjoys a joke, a friendly greeting, and a good conversation. He is usually up for a cozy moment with the housemates, but also needs some time to himself. Favorite activities: a run or walk in the Rivierenhof, strumming his guitar, playing football, doing a number puzzle, watching a movie, continuing his reading journey, laughing. He works full-time as a lawyer for the federal government and enjoys healthy eating and environmental awareness 🌞 Gwen (35, she/her or they/them) is an architect and teaches two days a week at the Faculty of Architecture in Ghent. She studies piano and electronic music at the music academy in Borgerhout and regularly goes swimming in the Veldstraat. Gwen loves community kitchens, saunas, and collective living arrangements. She satisfies their hunter-gatherer urge while hunting for specific Campari glasses at the thrift store. Finally, there is also Nova (5), our fluffy house cat and the only carnivore in the household, but we love her all the same. Zeger also often comes over to work or play games in the office; he is a ‘half-housemate’.
