Secluded in the heart of nature, with endless walks. This is an old farmhouse with double glazing. All communal areas and my own private spaces (bedroom and office) are on the ground floor, which is fully furnished. The dog, an enthusiastic Groenendael, lives with us. So, we expect animal lovers. The house is equipped with almost every comfort. It's completely secluded in nature, far from public transport, so a vehicle is useful. The fairly large garden is primarily an off-leash area for the dog(s). Your private area is on the (attic) floor, which you can furnish yourself.
Personal space
Your private space is part of the (attic) floor. A large room for you, a small room for my daughter who sometimes comes to stay, plus a central common area that you usually occupy alone. Water supply (kitchen, toilet, bathroom) is only available in the common areas on the ground floor. My dog only lives on the ground floor and never comes into your private space. In the photo of your room, you can see moving boxes, but that will all be gone in a flash.

Your attitude is more important than your age. Mature and young at heart, empathetic and attentive to the needs of others. Dog-friendly. These qualities will be returned in spades. Open communication, with a good mix of independence and team spirit. Since most of our house is shared property, a good match or mutual click is paramount. Owning a car and being willing to share it is a plus. The prices below are indicative for one person and can be adjusted accordingly.

I, François, am retired and live at home permanently. I speak French, Dutch, and English fluently. I'm young at heart, a great music and film lover, highly conscious and spiritual, yet easygoing. I've built up a strong resilience in recent years. I sleep in every morning and have normal afternoons and evenings. My dog, Rolly, is the most important person in my life, and my beautiful teenage daughter comes to stay regularly. We need respect and compassion, which we ourselves provide.
These things we like to do togther
There's always some music playing in the house. For movie nights, you can also choose from my extensive DVD collection. I have my own approach to food and feeding times. Maintaining a clean house together is essential. My dog roams freely on the ground floor and between the house and the garden. Every person is different, every relationship is unique, and so it's our match that will help determine the atmosphere and activities.

Additional information about price or contract
Rent and costs are calculated for a single co-householder and are adjusted for index increases. This can be discussed if there is more than one resident. The co-housing contract and insurance can be discussed together; I don't have any experience with that yet.
Lo-Reninge is officially the least populated municipality in Flanders. Many country lanes wind through meadows and fields. Reninge is a rural village with a few basic shops. More can be found in Lo itself, about eight kilometers away. The coast (De Panne, Koksijde), Bellewaerde Park, Veurne, Diksmuide, Ypres, and northern France are all within a half-hour drive. The beautiful wildlife sanctuary "De Zonnegloed" is very close by.
Access
We live in a secluded natural setting, a 20-minute walk from the village center. The village is poorly served by public transport (only one, somewhat direct, bus line passes through). Claus2You recently started offering car sharing in the village (also one in Lo and two in Vleteren). Train stations—in Ypres or Diksmuide—are a good fifteen-minute drive away by car.
