Type of cohouse
Private room + shared house
Personal space
The 14 m² room is unfurnished and is located on the street side on the first floor. There is enough space for a large bed, closet(s) and sitting area.
Common parts
The house is located in the quiet Herfstlaan in Kessel-Lo, next to the provincial domain Kessel-Lo. You can reach various bus stops within 5 minutes and you can cycle to Leuven city centre in 10 minutes. A spar, a Delhaize, Hal5, the abbey of Vlierbeek, the Kesselse mountains and more are within walking and cycling distance.
You share an office room and bathroom with bath (+ shower screen) and toilet with the other resident on the first floor. Extra storage space is provided in the basement. Furthermore, the house has a cosy living room with dining area, TV corner and reading corner, a kitchen, a separate toilet, a nice garden and an alarm system on four legs: watchdog Isra. The back garden also functions as a playing field for Isra, vegetable garden for Mark and wild flower bed for insects and bees. In addition, in the extension of our back garden: the provincial domain of Kessel-Lo. There is plenty of parking space in the street and one in front of the door. Blue card and resident card are among the possibilities.
The rent and the common costs (water, gas, electricity, internet + TV, cleaning help, insurance, etc.) are divided equally, so we each deposit €545 per month into our common account. You also pay a one-off deposit that corresponds to three months' rent and an administrative cost for the adjustment of the lease. You will be connected to the registered lease and the rental deposit account via an addendum. Domicile is mandatory.

Something more about your co-residents
The beautiful photos you see with this ad were taken by our house photographer: Tom. In addition to being a photographer, Tom (48) is the proud owner of the one and a half year old puppy, Isra. Tom is a calm housemate and because of his pragmatic and relaxed attitude you can always ask him if you need help with something. Tom is also the one who has made our house and garden very nice places: he installed a parasol, has the best garden chair and likes to invite you for the BBQ. Enjoy to the fullest :)
The next housemate will always greet you kindly in the hallway: Mark. Mark (32) is a real gentleman and simply very caring. One of the things under his care is the vegetable garden in the backyard. There grow peppers, tomatoes, snack cucumbers and nice wild flowers that support the other plants. Everything that is sown there is all done in consultation, because Mark likes to do something for others. So, the most important question for you: What is your favorite vegetable?
The third housemate, Isabel (26), is a green thinker and doer. She eats vegan and loves cooking. Last year she moved from Utrecht (NL) to Leuven to study for a master's degree in Sexology. During a study break she likes to take a walk and she likes to fill her vacations with music. She likes to dance and occasionally plays her trumpet or saxophone. Would you like to come and dance or jam with us sometime?
