Our house has 4 floors with 2 bedrooms and 3 studios. Everyone has their own bathroom. The house has 3 toilets, a large office space, a living room with a fireplace, a comfy sofa, a brand-new TV with a Bose system, internet, Netflix, and Apple TV. We have a large kitchen with 2 large refrigerators and one freezer, all the appliances you need for a 3-course meal, a large homemade designer dining table for 8 people (ideal when guests come over), and a cozy round table (also homemade) for 4 for the mornings. Furthermore, we have a laundry room, a spacious garden with lots of plants, flowers, and birds, a covered terrace with a lounge chair and a jacuzzi. There is also an indoor swimming pool with a pool house featuring a sauna and steam bath. We also have green fingers, and besides strawberries, we are currently busy planting new plants in the garden. The communal costs are shared by the 5 residents and amount to 125 EUR per person. This includes water, gas, electricity, unlimited internet, streaming, and our cleaning lady who visits every two weeks. You certainly don't have to worry about cleaning products, toilet paper, garbage bags, taking out the trash, or trips to the recycling center. Talk about hotel service… :) You can park your bike and car in the driveway. Oh yes, I almost forgot: We live on a very social street with amazing neighbors! Welcome to our Mechelen Co-housing ‘Cocoen’. We strive to be the most complete and luxurious co-housing in Mechelen. Our house is located just a stone's throw from the station in a quiet neighborhood. We have been co-housing here for 3 years now with 3 to 5 people. (some housemates are often away) From October 1 / November 1, 2025, a 40 m² studio will become available. The room is fully furnished and features a brand-new kitchenette with a microwave and has its own en-suite bathroom (also completely new). The studio costs 925 EUR per month + 125 EUR communal costs = 1050 EUR/month. This includes the use of the house, wellness facilities, and all shared appliances. Think of washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, mixers, Nespresso coffee machine, regular coffee machine, oven/microwave, steam oven, toaster, kettle, panini machine, cutlery, glasses… If anything is missing, it is simply purchased.
