A bright unfurnished large room on the 2nd floor. There is enough space for a double bed, desk and cupboards.
The other rooms in the house are shared: kitchen, living and dining room, bathroom, 2 toilets, meditation/guest room, washing machine, bicycle storage, ... The common areas are furnished.
Rental contract for one year from 01/09/24 (possibly extendable), cost €650 per month with a deposit of 2 months.
We divide the common costs (water, electricity, wifi, ...) between the 4 of us.

The house is a combination of 3 slums. In the dead-end street there are trees, a picnic table, small playground equipment, ... which invites you to socialize. The house has 4 large rooms (each about 16m²) and one smaller room that we want to use as a meditation/guest room.

My name is Anja (47). I live in Ghent and work as a policy officer and community
builder at De Ark, an international organization for people with disabilities. My work
and private life are seamlessly intertwined and I like that. Everyone at my
workplace and elsewhere knows me as a (Clini)clown, with one of my hand puppets as a loyal
ally at my side.
I am Geert (63), recently retired as a teacher and policy officer for the Flemish
Government. I love Ghent as a city, my children live there and recently also my first
grandchild. In addition to my new role as grandfather, I like singing and meeting my
friends. I love pilgrimages and have just returned from a hike to Santiago de
Compostella.
.. and I am Heidi (42). After an extensive career as a teacher of art didactics and head of
Education Policy at a Flemish college, I made the choice last year to
retrain in organic agriculture and horticulture in Ghent. I love searching for and finding
wild edible plants and am currently learning the permaculture principles.
Together we are a group of friends who have already earned some stripes in our studies, jobs and
commitments in life. Our paths crossed in community life and
friendships were forged there on the basis of shared values.
